Akshay Kumar is back with another powerful historical drama & the film’s glimpse has received overwhelmingly positive response from fans. The much-awaited trailer for Kesari Chapter 2 dropped today and instantly took over the internet.
Kesari Chapter 2 Trailer Takes Over YouTube
Within just four hours, it climbed to the top of YouTube India’s trending list, securing the number one spot. Starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, the film brings to life one of India’s most significant legal battles.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, it explores the story of C Sankaran Nair, a fearless lawyer who took on the British Empire after the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.
The trailer packs a punch with its mix of intense courtroom drama, powerful dialogues, and raw emotions. Fans can’t stop talking about the film’s gripping narrative, stellar performances, and striking visuals. The theatrical release is set for April 18 and the buzz around the film continues to grow.
Akshay Kumar Gets Emotional At The Launch Event
During the trailer launch in New Delhi, Akshay Kumar found himself at the centre of a heated discussion over a bold dialogue in the film. A particular courtroom scene shows his character standing firm against a British official’s taunt—“You are still a slave to the British Empire”—to which he delivers an unfiltered ‘F**k You.’
When asked about the use of the phrase, Akshay defended it passionately. Holding back his tears, the actor said, “Haan maine yeh word use kiya. Lekin voh jo word use kiya tha (for Indians in the trailer) ‘You are still a slave!’—that was not a gaali for you? I think usse bade gaali aur kuchh ho nahi sakti. I would have been happy if you had said something about using the word ‘slave’ rather than you talking about me saying ‘f**k you’. Mere hisaab se agar aise time pe hum logon ne goli bhi maar di hoti na toh bhi chhota rehta.”
His emotional response left everyone impressed.
