Parineeti Chopra has signed on to star alongside Akshay Kumar in the film.

Akshay Kumar bought the rights to the narrative of the Raniganj Coalfield rescue mission in 2017. While there hasn’t been much news for several years, it appears that the project is now taking off. Capsule Gill would reunite him with Parineeti Chopra, whom he first collaborated in the film Kesari.

According to a tabloid source, Parineeti Chopra has signed on to star alongside Akshay Kumar in the film. Tinu Suresh Desai, who directed Rustom, will direct the film, which will be produced by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment and Ajay Kapoor’s Kyta Productions.

In 1989, 64 miners were trapped underground for unversed. Jaswant Singh Gill, Additional Chief Mining Engineer, was the rescue operation’s hero, risking his own life to save others. He’d gone down the capsule’s borehole and planned the safe evacuation of the trapped miners. The 65 miners had to be brought up one by one, which took around 6 hours. President of India awarded him India’s highest civilian gallantry award, the Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak (SJRP), for saving the lives of 65 miners.

Parineeti Chopra will next be featured in Sooraj Barjatya’s Unchaai, Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, and Ribhu Dasgupta’s action thriller. Samrat Prithviraj, Ram Setu, Gorkha, Mission Cinderella, Oh My God 2, Selfiee, Soorarai Pottru remake, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan are among Akshay Kumar’s next ventures.
