Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s dream collaboration has kicked off; Dharmendra to play SRK’s father

The word on the street is that Shah Rukh will begin filming for Atlee's project, which will be based in Mumbai and Pune, as soon as the first schedule of Hirani's film wraps.

Starting today, Shah Rukh Khan will be quite busy! The actor, who has recently been occupied with Pathaan, is allegedly set to begin production on his next film alongside Rajkumar Hirani. SRK has been eager to work with the acclaimed director for a long time. While Shah Rukh has yet to make an official statement, it is now known that the filming began today.

A few days ago we reported that the actor-director duo will start shooting on April 15. A source revealed to an entertainment portal, “Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan are all set to start shooting for this social comedy set against the backdrop of immigration around April 15. A grand set, resembling Punjab, is put up at Filmcity in Mumbai, and that’s where the team will be shooting for a period of around 40 days.”

There’s also a new update from the movie, which is that renowned actor Dharmendra has been cast in it. In the film, he will portray SRK’s father. Isn’t it exciting?

Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu are also expected to star in the movie. Shah Rukh will also fly to London, Budapest, and possibly the United States or Canada for three additional screenings of Hirani’s film.

According to the source, Shah Rukh will be preoccupied with Atlee’s future film as well as Raju Hirani’s project. The word on the street is that Shah Rukh will begin filming for Atlee’s project, which will be based in Mumbai and Pune, as soon as the first schedule of Hirani’s film wraps.
