The film industry is buzzing as three major films prepare for a release this Independence Day: Stree 2, Vedaa, and Khel Khel Mein. Of these, Khel Khel Mein has made headlines due to recent changes mandated by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
According to Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC’s Examining Committee requested a couple of key edits for Khel Khel Mein. While no visual cuts were required, the board asked for the muting of two specific cuss words: ‘bastard (b*******d)’ and ‘son of a b***h’. It remains unclear whether these terms have been fully muted, removed, or replaced with alternatives, but the film will definitely not feature these words in their original form.
Khel Khel Mein Gets U/A Certificate Ahead Of Release
Following these adjustments, Khel Khel Mein received a U/A certificate from the CBFC. The official censor certificate was handed over to the makers on August 8. The film has a runtime of 134.07 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 7 seconds.
Starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal, Khel Khel Mein is directed by Mudassar Aziz, known for Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019).
The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, and Shashikant Sinha. This movie is a remake of the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers.
Ammy Virk Said THIS About Akshay Kumar Recently
Before the film’s trailer launch, the team celebrated by releasing the song ‘Hauli Hauli’ at a lively event. During the festivities, Ammy Virk amused the crowd with his anecdotes about working with Akshay Kumar.
He shared, “Akshay paaji was our senior. When the senior most person treats everyone with love, then nothing like it. He has this habit that everyone should have lunch together. Pragya would order fish, Vaani would have something different, and Akshay paaji would also have his own order. I am the biryani and saag type. We would eat from their plates.”
Ammy continued, pointing at Pragya Jaiswal, “She would order healthy food as she is the heroine! But even she would end up eating biryani and lifting food from Akshay paaji’s plate.”
He concluded with a smile, “In short, it was a chill atmosphere. We went to eat and ended up making a film, all while enjoying ourselves!”
