All parents think that acting as a profession is risky and not one of those mainstream jobs. Talking about the same, Actress Kiara Advani has revealed that it was the film ‘3 Idiots’ that convinced her parents to let her act in Hindi cinema.
Recently Kiara Advani went to the The Kapil Sharma Show for the promotion of her latest release ‘Govinda Naam Mera’. The comedy thriller film features Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles.
The special upcoming episode of TKSS, titled ‘Govinda Naam Mera’, will be graced by the talented team of the film including Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Renuka Sahane, Viraj Ghelani and director Shashank Khaitan. In the same episode,
Kiara will spill the beans on how she got into Bollywood and shares, “It is very natural for parents to worry about their children who want to try their luck in the film industry. Considering they are not from the industry, they were scared for me and were worried about my safety.”
She added, “They wanted me to try something other than this profession. But they always knew that acting is something I really wanted to do in my life. I remember I was in school when papa and I went to watch 3 Idiots and you know it is said that films are not just a medium of entertainment but the message they impart can touch the lives of people.”
“And 3 idiots worked like magic on my father and he agreed to support me in this journey. I would really like to thank Raju sir for making such an amazing film,” she further added.
For the unversed, ‘3 Idiots’ is Rajkumar Hirani’s film which was released in 2009. The film featured Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani and Omi Vaidya in the lead roles. The film was a big hit with Box Office collection of more than 400 crore.
