Pehle To Baap Aayega: Shah Rukh Khan Fires Up King Buzz, Backs Dhurandhar And Jokes About Avengers Clash

Shah Rukh Khan turned a routine AskSRK session into a full-blown fan event, dropping a swagger-heavy King one-liner, praising Dhurandhar, and brushing aside chatter around a possible box office showdown with Avengers: Doomsday. The actor’s replies quickly became the biggest talking point online, especially because they offered a rare mix of promotion, nostalgia, and trademark SRK wit.

The biggest mic-drop moment came when a fan asked him about the clash talk surrounding King and Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday. Shah Rukh’s answer was pure star power. “Pehle to Baap hi ayega beta!!!” he wrote, instantly giving fans the kind of punchline that was built to travel far beyond the Q and A.

He kept that momentum going by moving from bravado to fan service, giving followers just enough to chew on from his next big-screen outing.

Shah Rukh Khan’s King Tease Lands Perfectly

Khan also gave fans a taste of King, which is confirmed for a 24 December 2026 theatrical release. After initially holding back on sharing any dialogue, he eventually offered one line that only pushed the film further into focus. “24 December ko King, picture abhi baaki hai..King akela kaafi hai,” he posted.

The session also brought a warm update on his reunion with Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji in the action thriller. When asked what it felt like working with them again, Shah Rukh replied, “the best ever,” and added that it is always lovely to work with his best friends. That easy affection gave the exchange a more personal note and underlined the appeal of the film’s cast.

His Dhurandhar Reply Became An Instant Talking Point

One of the more unexpected moments from the interaction came when a fan asked whether he had seen Dhurandhar. Shah Rukh’s response was emphatic. “Loved both the parts… fantastic by the whole team!!!” he wrote. The line quickly grabbed attention because it was both generous and unusually direct, especially coming from a star who rarely hands out public endorsements without reason.

Dhurandhar was directed by Aditya Dhar and released as a two-part film series. The first film arrived in theatres on 5 December 2025, while the follow-up, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, was released on 19 March 2026. The cast included Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan and Sara Arjun.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Shah Rukh’s last release phase came in 2023, when Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki arrived in the same year and marked one of the strongest commercial runs of his career. Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand and co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, emerged as a blockbuster. He followed that with Atlee’s Jawan, co-starring Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, which became an even bigger theatrical success. He then closed the year with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu.

As of 15 September 2026, King is his next confirmed release. That places the film as his return to theatres after nearly three years, with Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji joining him in one of the Hindi calendar’s most closely followed year-end titles.
