Here is some great news for all fans of Kapil Sharma and comedy films. Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has successfully received its censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification with just one minor cut. Despite dealing with sensitive themes of a man marrying women from different religious communities, the CBFC left all religion-based humor completely untouched.
The film is all set to release on Friday, December 12, and audiences are eagerly looking forward to it. The comic caper has built strong anticipation due to its comic quotient, Kapil Sharma’s casting, and the popularity of the first part, which had a successful run at the box office in 2015.
Only One Cut Asked By CBFC
The Examining Committee of the CBFC asked for just one cut in the entire film. The makers were told to remove the inappropriate use of a real name in a scene at the beginning of the film and replace it with an appropriate word. That was the only change requested.
What makes this even more significant is that the film deals with a protagonist who marries girls from different religious communities. Given the sensitive times we live in, there were apprehensions that the censor board would ask for multiple changes or deletions in the dialogues. However, none of that has happened.
All Religion-Based Dialogues Left Untouched
The most impressive part of the certification process is that all dialogues related to religion and communities have been left completely untouched. The CBFC members appreciated the fact that the makers have been extremely careful not to hurt any sentiments. The humor in the film is handled in such a way that it does not cross any lines or offend any community.
Even visually, there was nothing that the censor board felt needed to be cut or toned down. This shows that the makers and director Anukalp Goswami have done a commendable job in balancing comedy with sensitivity. Creating a film about multiple marriages across religions without hurting sentiments is not an easy task, and the team has managed to pull it off successfully.
Film Gets U/A 16+ Rating
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has been given a U/A 16+ rating by the CBFC. The film was not given a U/A 13+ or U/A 7+ rating, presumably because it deals with a man having multiple wives. This is a mature theme that is more suitable for audiences aged 16 and above.
Once the cut was made, the makers received the censor certificate on November 25. The total length of the film, as mentioned on the certificate, is 142.25 minutes. In other words, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is 2 hours, 22 minutes, and 25 seconds long. This is a good runtime for a comedy film, giving enough space for the story to develop and the humor to land properly.
