Karan Johar’s popular chat show Koffee With Karan is back with its eighth season and the latest episode features two of his ‘first leading ladies’ – Kajol and Rani Mukerji. The cousins, who have worked with Karan in several films, share a close bond with the filmmaker and each other.
The episode features some hilarious moments, such as Kajol warning Karan that she will walk out of the show if he asks her any more personal questions, and Rani revealing that she wants to expose Karan’s secrets. The episode promises to be a fun-filled one, as the trio revisit their collaborations and share some memorable moments from their careers.
Rani wants to expose Karan Johar, Kajol stages a walkout
In the beginning of the latest Koffee With Karan promo, Rani said to Karan Johar, “I want to expose you.” To which the filmmaker said, “Don’t say such things,” while Kajol added, “I like this show already.”
In the promo of the episode, Kajol is seen forgetting that Rani was also a part of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Karan’s family drama that starred both the actresses along with Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan. Karan reminds her that Rani played Shah Rukh’s love interest in the film, to which Kajol says, “Oh yeah, she was there!”
Rani, on the other hand, blames Karan for hitting her during the shoot of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, his directorial debut that also starred Kajol and Shah Rukh. She said, “You have snatched food from my hand, you’ve hit me.” When Karan interrupted her to say, “I didn’t hit you,” Rani said, “Such lies!” Kajol also chimed in, saying, “Abuse, it was abuse!” Karan reacted with, “How b**chy!”
After the two guests took part in a series of Koffee rounds, Kajol said she was ‘staging a walkout’ after she failed to answer a few of Karan’s questions, including one about Rani’s special appearances in one of her films.

Sharing the promo, Karan wrote in his Instagram caption, “We’ve hit the (rewind emoji) button hard enough to bring my first leading ladies – Kajol and Rani back on the Koffee couch and it’s nostalgia in the purest form!!!! (orange heart emojis)… Koffee With Karan season 8 – new episode streaming from 30th November on Disney+ Hotstar!”
The episode is expected to air this Thursday on Disney+ Hotstar. Fans of the stars are eagerly waiting to watch the episode and witness the chemistry between the cousins and their favourite filmmaker.
