Rumors of a possible romantic relationship between Prabhas and Kriti Sanon have been circulating on the internet lately. The two actors will be seen sharing the screen for the first time in their upcoming film Adipurush. While Prabhas is known to be shy and introverted in real life, Kriti recently spoke about how he reacted to the dating rumors and how Varun Dhawan was connected to it all.
Kriti and Varun have worked together in the past in films like Dilwale and Bhediya. It was Varun who hinted at Sanon’s alleged relationship with Prabhas. In an interview with BBC via the Hindustan Times, Kriti shared how Prabhas reacted after she told him about what Varun had said. She said, “When Varun said that, I felt really bad- I felt like I had to tell Prabhas. I picked up the phone and told him about what Varun had said. He said, ‘But why?’
She revealed that when Varun made the comment, she felt bad and felt the need to tell Prabhas. She added, “Prabhas asked why did he say that? So I said, ‘I don’t know, Varun’s mad…” Prabhas was confused and failed to understand the reasons behind Varun’s actions. Kriti assured him that there was no need to take it seriously.
According to reports, Varun’s comments sounded like a confirmation of Kriti and Prabhas’ alleged relationship. During an appearance on Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa, when asked about Kriti Sanon’s single status, Varun said, “Kriti ka naam isiliye nahi tha kyunki Kriti ka naam… kisi ke dil me hai. Ek aadmi hai jo Mumbai me nahi hai, vo iss waqt shooting kar raha hai Deepika ke saath.” This was a reference to Prabhas, who is shooting with Deepika Padukone for their upcoming film Project K.

However, both Kriti and Varun clarified that it was just a joke and there was no truth to the rumors. Kriti issued a statement saying, “It’s neither pyaar (love), nor PR.. our Bhediya just went a little too wild on a reality show. And his fun banter led to some Howl-arious rumours.” Varun also shared Kriti’s post and wrote, “Guys, I had your fun, but it’s just fun and stuff the channels have edited to have fun. We took it as humor, don’t let your imagination run so wild.”
Apart from these rumors, there were also reports that Kriti and Prabhas were allegedly getting engaged. However, As for their upcoming film Adipurush, Kriti Sanon and Prabhas starrer has faced criticism for its VFX. Directed by Om Raut, the film is expected to release in June this year.
