In response to rumours that Kriti Sanon and Prabhas were preparing to wed, the actor has since released a statement on social media. Kriti posted on Instagram on Tuesday night, “It’s neither pyaar, nor PR.. our Bhediya just went a little too wild on a reality show. And his fun banter led to some Howl-arious rumours.”
“Before some portal announces my wedding date-let me burst your bubble. The rumours are ABSOLUTELY baseless,” Kriti added further. This comes after actor Varun Dhawan recently made hints about Kriti’s relationship on the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa while promoting their movie Bhediya. Varun did not however mention Prabhas.
Varun was requested to provide a short list of eligible single ladies from the Hindi film industry by judge and filmmaker Karan Johar. Kriti’s name wasn’t on the list he provided, though. Then Karan questioned Varun as to why Kriti’s name was missing from the list.
“Kriti ka naam isiliye nahi tha kyunki Kriti ka naam kisi ke dil me hai. Ek aadmi hai jo Mumbai me nahi hai, vo iss waqt shooting kar raha hai Deepika (Padukone) ke saath,” Varun replied to Karan. Prabhas and Deepika are co-starring in the bilingual movie Project K, which also features Amitabh Bachchan. One of the most expensive Indian movies ever is rumoured to be Project K.
Online rumours of Kriti and Prabhas’ relationship first surfaced a few months back. Adipurush, a film produced by T Series and Retrophiles and directed by Om Raut, stars Kriti Sanon and Prabhas. The movie will debut on June 16, 2023. The epic Ramayana is the basis for the movie. In the film, Saif Ali Khan plays the villain Lankesh, and Prabhas plays Lord Ram. Sunny Singh will play Lakshman, and Kriti will play Janaki.
