After years of anticipation, Bollywood’s iconic superhero franchise Krrish is set to make a grand comeback. Hrithik Roshan will begin filming Krrish 4 in summer 2025, over a decade after the release of Krrish 3 in 2013. The project will see him joining forces once again with his father (producer Rakesh Roshan) and director Karan Malhotra.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for updates about Krrish 4 for years, and it seems their wait is finally nearing an end. A mid-day report suggests that Hrithik is focused on completing his current film, War 2, by April 2025, paving the way for his much-awaited superhero return.
Hrithik Roshan Will Shoot Krrish 4 After War 2 Filming Concludes
Hrithik is currently filming War 2, an action-packed spy thriller featuring Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is in its final production phase. The last schedule includes intense action sequences, which Mukerji is determined to make more spectacular than the original War. These scenes will dominate the April shoot, marking the completion of the film.
With War 2 out of the way, Hrithik will shift his focus entirely to Krrish 4.
Agneepath Director Karan Malhotra To Direct
The report also reveals that Krrish 4 will reunite Hrithik with director Karan Malhotra, 13 years after their collaboration on Agneepath (2012). Insiders reveal that Malhotra and Rakesh Roshan have been refining the script for over two years. Additionally, Hrithik has been actively contributing to the creative process.
Inspired by the success of recent large-scale films, the team aims to create a groundbreaking superhero movie. The filming will take place in Mumbai and select locations in Europe, promising a visual spectacle.

Hrithik Roshan was last seen in Fighter, which hit screens earlier this year. Next, he is gearing up for War 2, set to release next year, featuring Jr NTR and Kiara Advani alongside him.
On top of that, Hrithik has teamed up with Salman Khan for an upcoming ad film. It is expected to be unveiled soon.
