The latest episode of Koffee with Karan Season 8 featured actors Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, who teamed up to call their friend Ranbir Kapoor weird for a specific reason.

Aditya Roy Kapoor becomes a glorious punching bag for friend Ranbir Kapoor

The Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani stars, Aditya Roy Kapur and Ranbir Kapoor share a warm and close friendship. During a candid conversation, Karan Johar reminisced a past incident, revealing that he knows the three Kapoor boys and how Ranbir often makes fun of Aditya as his “glorious, gorgeous punching bag”. He also shared an incident when Ranbir teased Aditya for not watching Sholay, a classic Hindi film. He said that the Animal star thinks that Aditya is clueless about everything, which is not true at all.

Karan said, “Adi becomes like the glorious, gorgeous punching bag because Ranbir believes he knows nothing about anything. I remember that one time when he asked him ‘you b**tard, you have seen Sholay?’” Aditya cut in and said that “it’s actually the opposite.” “It might be about a few things, about films and all, you know a lot more but yeah…” The three men had a hearted laugh before Aditya Roy Kapur blatantly admitted that he knows less about films apparently but has his fair in music and other things.

Karan Johar says Ranbir is ‘no pop culture phenomenon’

The celebrity host then confessed that “Ranbir Kapoor is not exactly some pop culture phenomenon as he would like to believe.” To which Roy Kapur quipped, “He knows films”

“He knows films, and he knows his films,” the 51-year-old filmmaker completed the sentence.

Arjun Kapoor says Ranbir judges people for loving him too much

Arjun Kapoor, who joined them on the show, said that Ranbir is critical of people who love his films too much and said, “He doesn’t appreciate anyone appreciating his films too much because then he judges them for loving him too much also which is a bit of a problem.”

Karan called Ranbir as “weird” and Arjun nodded along.
