Amid nationwide lockdown many production houses are suffering losses. Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film Maidaan which was expected to begin in March was also halted. A stadium was also under process in Mumbai for football scenes. Over Rs. 7 crores have been reportedly spent on the set.
Now that the lockdown happened the set remained unused.
The huge set which was created in January has everything from toilets, to makeup rooms to the production control room.
While the shoot which was supposed to start from March 21st was called on on March 16.
Now as the set is ready but unused the production house will have to face losses.
According to the information if the lockdown moves further from 3rd May then the makers will have to face another setback. Since June comes with monsoon and if the set gets exposed to rains, it will get completely damaged.
Maidaan is based on the life story of legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim who is also known as the father of Indian football. His achievements in making India a top nation in Football during his lifetime put his name in the history of Indian sports.
