In a recent update, Maharashtra government has allowed the resumption of shooting for films, teleserials, advertisements, OTT, etc with immediate effect.
The decision was taken after several appeals were made from the film industry and a delegation of Bollywood bigwigs who called on Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in this regard last week.
According to the reports, permission has been given along with the gradual steps initiated under #MissionBeginAgain. A special set of guidelines were issued by the government for the film industry to keep the show going.
While to restart the shoot the authorities must submit an application to the Maharashtra Films, Theatre, and Cultural Development Corporation at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film City, Goregaon.
“After scrutinising the applications, the concerned authority will give the go-ahead for the shooting proposals. They will have to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines issued separately for the purpose,” an official was quotes as saying.
The government official has also released a 16-page official directive comprising guiding principles to restart the media and entertainment industry.
