Superstar Mahesh Babu is all set to raise the heat with an energetic solo dance number in his upcoming film SSMB29, directed by the acclaimed pan-India filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli. According to a report by Deccan Chronicle, an industry source has revealed that this will be a “mass number” featuring Mahesh Babu in a stylish avatar, backed by a large troupe of dancers.
“Mahesh Babu will be featured in a racy solo dance number, accompanied by a troupe of dancers. It’s touted to be a mass number,” the source shared.
In preparation for the shoot, an elaborate set is being constructed on the outskirts of the city. The song will reportedly be filmed amidst a grand backdrop that includes a replica of a bustling city market, along with several iconic visual elements to enhance its scale and visual appeal.
“A special set is being erected on the outskirts of the city, including a replica of a bustling city market and a few other iconic locations,” the insider added.
The actor is expected to begin rehearsals shortly and will shoot the song sequence soon after. “Mahesh Babu will soon begin rehearsals with the team and is expected to shoot the song shortly,” the source confirmed.
The film is described as a jungle adventure, primarily set against the lush backdrops of the Amazon rainforest and parts of Africa. Mahesh Babu’s character is said to be inspired by Lord Hanuman, blending mythology with thrilling exploration and action sequences. The story reportedly draws inspiration from Hollywood’s ‘Indiana Jones’ series.
After completing a shooting schedule in Odisha, the production resumed in Hyderabad in June 2025, with more action and jungle scenes planned.
