Makers Of Drishyam 2 Saves Disaster for Ajay Devgn Starrer At Last Minute By Paying THIS Hefty Sum , Details Inside !

‘Drishyam 2’ trailer has no doubt been appreciated. It looks good, honestly. Of course it remains to be seen if the film pans out as well as its first part did. But what happened a couple of days back scared the daylights of ‘Drishyam 2’ makers.

Goldmines Telefilms owner Manish Shah who has a YouTube channel almost sabotaged the upcoming Hindi ‘Drishyam 2’; he did almost a similar thing with the Shahid Kapoor-led ‘Jersey’ and a few other films in the past. A source tells us, “This is the fourth time. This is nothing but white-collar piracy.”

Okay, so what exactly transpired? Manish bought the Hindi dubbing rights of the film from its Telugu makers D Suresh Babu, Antony Perumbavoor, and Rajkumar Sethupathi who helmed the Telugu version of ‘Drishyam 2’ (titled ‘Drushyam 2’) starring Venkatesh and Shah was about to put up the Hindi dubbed version of ‘Drushyam 2’ on his YouTube channel; he had planned for a October 22 (just 3 days before the Ajay flick) release of the same. Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat and Co. had no option but to tell him to not do it, but would Manish listen? No, he wouldn’t.

And mind you, Mangat had bought the Hindi dubbing rights of ‘Drishyam 2’ from its Malayalam makers (the Malyalam version did not have a ‘u’ instead of ‘i’ in its title and it starred Mohanlal in the lead) but little did he know that Manish would then knock the doors of the Telugu version.

Mangat (‘Drishyam 2’ producer) went to Manish and said ‘Kitna chahiye?’. Manish demanded Rs 3.5 crores excluding GST (18 per cent). Mangat handed the money and came back with a sigh of relief. Manish had agreed that he won’t play a spoilsport and won’t put out the Hindi version of the Telugu ‘Drushyam 2’; that would have robbed the Ajay film of many viewers.

When contacted, Manish Shah agreed that he had taken Rs 3.5 crore from Kumar Mangat for a settlement. “Lekin ismein galat kya hai?” he wanted to know. When we told him that this is the fourth time that he has done this, he insisted that it was simply a business decision. “When a producer begins a movie, he always needs more money as inputs to bolster his film. And this is where I came in. Like always, I bought the Hindi dubbing rights from the Venkatesh-starrer makers on the day of mahurat itself.”

Kumar Mangat however chose to remain quiet on this. Over to October 25. ‘Drishyam 2’ starring Ajay and Tabu in lead roles and directed by Kumar Mangat’s son Abhishek Pathak is ready to release.
