Sri tells the remarkable story of Srikant Bolla, a visionary industrialist who refused to let his visual impairment deter his ambitions. Through sheer determination and innovation, he founded Bollant Industries, breaking barriers and inspiring countless individuals along the way.
Srikanth Bolla faced a major challenge fighting a long legal battle with the state after class 10 to opt for the science stream. Having said that, Bolla always had bigger dreams and he not only cleared his secondary and senior secondary exams with flying colours but also managed to become the first international blind student to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.
Directed by Tushar Hiranandani and written by Jagdeep Sidhu and Sumit Purohit, Sri also features an ensemble cast of Alaya F, Sharad Kelkar, and Jyotika.

Rajkummar Rao’s long-awaited biographical drama, Sri, finally has a new release date. The makers of the film announced the revised release date in the theatres. Announcing the date, the T-series shared a black and white picture of the actor on its official Instagram and X handles. It said, “The remarkable journey of Srikanth Bolla SRI unfolds on 17th May 2024.”
