Actor Fahadh Faasil appears not only in his native Malayalam cinema but also in other language films in South India. With notable roles in films like Super Deluxe, Pushpa: The Rise, Vikram, and Maamannan, Faasil has a range of movies to his credit.
In a recent interview, Fahadh shed light on his unconventional approach to his career, emphasising his preference for diverse roles over the pursuit of stardom. “The intention of me going there is not to do a Baashha or a Thevar Magan. It’s pure talent collaboration. I just wanna go there, interact and ask questions about how they shot particular sequences in some beloved films,” he remarked.
Fahadh Faasil Says None Of His Projects Are Pre-planned
Fahadh revealed his laid-back attitude towards timelines and planning, stating, “I have no sense of timelines; I neither start nor finish things on time. Nothing is pre-planned.” His spontaneity extends to his choice of projects, driven solely by excitement and creative fulfilment rather than calculated career moves.
Addressing his audience, Fahadh expressed his modest expectations, urging them to enjoy his films without overanalysing his persona. “My commitment to them is just that I’ll try and make the film watchable,” he affirmed, advocating for a balanced perspective on celebrity culture.
He Wants To Disappear Between Movies, Says ‘Aamir Khan, Dilip Kumar Used To Do That’
Beyond the glamour of cinema, Fahadh encourages viewers to embrace life’s diverse experiences. “Cinema is not beyond that; it has a limit. There’s more that you can do with your life than watching cinema,” he asserted.
He says, “The life of a performance or any discussions on it must be till I do the next film instead of going on endlessly. ‘He did Aavesham. Done. Now let him come up with something else,’ that’s the kind of approach that sounds more beautiful, right? Why think about him (Fahadh) more than that?”
“Aamir Khan used to do this even in the 2000s. He disappeared after Lagaan and Dil Chahta Hai. He then came back with Mangal Pandey: The Rising and then disappeared again. I have heard that Dilip Kumar Sahab used to do that too and I like that. I don’t want anyone to talk about me or celebrate me. Just watch my films and that too only if it’s good and if it’s not good, don’t watch it,” he added.
Fahadh Faasil Will Now Be Seen in Pushpa 2
Fahadh Faasil is getting ready for the upcoming release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar. In this sequel, he will return to portray the main antagonist, reprising his role from Pushpa: The Rise. Fans can mark their calendars for August 15, 2024, when the film is set to hit the screens.
