Manav Vij Calls It A ‘Stupidity’ Act For Those Who Boycotted Theatrical Release Of Laal Singh Chaddha But Loved On Netflix, Asks Them To Transfer Rs 500 To Aamir Khan Productions’ House If They Were So Apologetic

He called their act as stupidity as producers suffer from it after some put their reactions watching it on the OTT platform.

Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor starrer Lal Singh Chaddha released on August 11, 2022. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the film is written by Atul Kulkarni with an adaptation from a 1994 made Hollywood film named Forrest Gump into the context based in India.

Earlier, Aamir had said that it would take the film 6 months to release on OTT but it landed on Netflix after two months. However, it is performing well on Netflix. Its soundtrack was praised by viewers, with lovely songs like Phir Na Aisi Raat Aayegi, Kahani, Tur Kalleyan. However, it faced a boycott trend and resulted in the failure at Box-Office.

Actor Manav Vij, who played Muhammad in the film slammed those who boycotted the theatrical release of the film but loved it on Netflix. He called their act as stupidity as producers suffer from it after some put their reactions watching it on the OTT platform.

“Many people also apologized to me on Twitter, saying they didn’t watch Laal Singh Chaddha in theatres following the boycott trend. But they loved it when they watched it on Netflix. I said, ‘If you were so apologetic, you should have transferred Rs. 500 to Aamir Khan Productions’ account. The producers are at a loss because of your stupidity,” Bollywood Hungama quoted Manav as saying.
