Mani Ratnam Directorial PS1 Takes A Good Start In Advances. Figures Inside!

In Hindi language, it collected 10L, while Malayalam has 6L, totalling stands at 9.28 Cr.

PS1 (Ponniyin Selvan Part 1), a film directed by Mani Ratnam, an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action film, is set to release on September 30, 2022. It stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Sobhita Dhulipala and others. Kalki Krishnamoorthi has written epic historical fiction.

The drama-fantasy film will be released in five Indian languages: Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Netizens have shown excitement for its original Tamil version and tickets are getting sold in huge numbers.

In Tamil, it collected 9.75 Cr, while Telugu has 60 lacs pre-bookings gross. In Hindi language, it collected 12 lacs, while Malayalam has 6 lacs, totalling stands at 10.53 Cr.

Tamil: 9.75 Cr [532786 tickets sold]

Telugu: 50 lacs [33306 tickets sold]

Hindi: 10 lacs [5622 tickets sold]

Malayalam: 6 lacs [4124 tickets sold]

Total First Day Advance Booking Gross: 10.53 Cr [575838]

PS-1 is touted as one of the most costly Indian films and is counted among the most awaited ventures of the year. Moreover, it sold 60 k tickets in Malaysia, 30 k in the USA, 10 K in Australia and 10 K in the UK.
