Manoj Bajpayee filed a criminal defamation complaint against KRK over his ‘Ganjedi’ tweet

Manoj Bajpayee, a Bollywood actor, has filed a criminal defamation action against Kamaal Rashid Khan, a former actor and self-proclaimed film critic. Under IPC section 500, the complaint was filed in an Indore court for allegedly sending a disparaging tweet about Bajpayee (punishment for defamation).

According to sources, Paresh S Joshi, Bajpayee’s lawyer, has asked the court to file a criminal defamation action in the case. According to the lawyer, the tweet in question was posted by KRK on July 26 and degraded Bajpayee’s reputation. In court, the actor personally recorded his statement.

In his tweet, KRK had called Bajpayee ‘Ganjedi’ (a marijuana addict). He had written, “I am not a Lukkha and Faaltu in life, So I don’t watch web series. Better you ask Sunil Pal. But why do you like to watch a Charsi, Ganjedi Manoj? You can’t be selective. If you hate Charsi Ganjedi in Bollywood, So you should hate everyone.”
