Priya Bapat, the popular Marathi actress who has won accolades for her performances in films like Kaksparsh, Aamhi Doghi and Time Please, is all set to appear in a thriller film opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
The untitled film is set in 1990s
The untitled film, which is directed by Sejal Shah and written by National Award-winning writer Bhavesh Mandalia, is set in the 1990s and revolves around a mysterious murder case. The makers have described the film as an “enthralling narrative set to transport audiences back to the captivating era of the 90s.”
The movie has already gone on floors in Mumba in a 40-day shoot. The screenplay has been penned by the National Award-winning writer Bhavesh Mandalia.
Priya Bapat on starring opposite Nawazuddin
Priya Bapat, who has also appeared in a cameo role in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., expressed her excitement about working with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is known for his versatile and powerful roles in films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Badlapur and Sacred Games. She said, “I was excited to be a part of this gripping thriller since the day I heard the narration and plus working alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui was the add on. The script is compelling, and the 90s setting adds an extra layer of nostalgia. Working with Nawazuddin is an everyday learning experience, and we are eager to bring this intriguing story to life.”
