Insiders revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “These sets meticulously recreate the vintage charm and essence of Vizag, transporting the audience back in time. This commitment to detail, as seen in the making video, promises to be a major highlight of the film. Director Karuna Kumar has penned a captivating script inspired by real-life events that once shook the nation.”
3rd Shooting Schedule For Matka Is Currently Going On in Hyderabad’s RFC
Currently, Matka is deep into its shooting schedule, having completed two schedules already. The ongoing 35-day intensive shoot at RFC follows earlier stints: 14 days in Hyderabad and a scenic four-day stint in Vizag, with an estimated total filming schedule of 20-25 days.
Co-starring alongside Varun Tej is Meenakshi Chaudhary, playing the pivotal female lead. Bollywood beauty Nora Fatehi is set to portray a crucial character. The supporting cast includes Naveen Chandra, Ajay Ghosh, Kannada Kishore, Ravindra Vijay, and P Ravi Shankar, among others.
Behind the scenes, director Karuna Kumar assumes multiple roles, overseeing the story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction. Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri produce under Vyra Entertainment and SRT Entertainment banners.
Renowned music composer GV Prakash Kumar scores the film, complemented by A Kishor Kumar’s cinematography and Karthika Srinivas R’s editing. EVV Satish serves as CEO, supported by executive producers RK Jana, Prashanth Mandava, and Sagar, with costume designs by Kilari Lakshmi.
Matka promises to be a cinematic feast, blending historical depth with contemporary storytelling prowess against the backdrop of RFC’s meticulously crafted vintage Vizag sets.
