Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif could not be a more odd couple. One is a critically acclaimed South Indian actor, while the other is a Bollywood glam diva. There are so many degrees of seeming incompatibility. Despite this, Sriram Raghavan, the director, has it all figured out. He claims that the storyline for Merry Christmas necessitates the casting of the two actors he has picked. In terms of incompatibility, Sriram plans to put Vijay and Katrina through sessions prior to filming.

Vijay Sethupathi admits he has never met Katrina Kaif. “But that is not a problem for me. I’ve worked with so many co-stars I had never met before. And we worked fine together. The important thing is to find a common ground and work accordingly. I signed this film because I loved the script and I intend to surrender completely to the director’s vision.”
