
Filmmaker Milap Zaveri rubbishes the news of filmmaker Nishikant Kamat passing away. The 50-year old filmmaker had been diagnosed with Chronic Liver Disease and other secondary infections.
Earlier Zaveri shared a fond memory with the filmmaker and revealed that the Kamat is no more with us, “Heartbreaking news that Nishikant Kamat passed away. He judged My 1st play ever in Jaihind College where he awarded me best actor and writer. He was gonna direct “Sanak” written by @shiekhspear and me, starring @juniorbachchan Sadly the film didn’t happen. Will miss him Broken heart.”
However, later he cleared the air and said he talked to someone near the 50-year old filmmaker and confirmed that he is alive and still on a ventilator.
Zaveri wrote, “Just spoke to someone who is with Nishikant in the hospital right now. He hasn’t passed away yet. Yes he is v critical and fighting life and death. But he is still alive”.
Riteish Deshmukh tweeted about his critical health too.
Nishikant Kamat was brought to AIG hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad for jaundice and abdominal distention. Later he was diagnosed with Chronic Liver Disease and other secondary infections.
