Kriti Sanon is back on the screen with Mimi, directed by Laxman Utekar. Mimi trailer, which was released today by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and Jio Studios, is all things refreshing. Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Supriya Pathak, and Manoj Pahwa, among others, play significant roles in the film, which stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role.

In the Laxman Utekar-directed film, the actress plays a surrogate mother. Pankaj Tripathi plays a surrogacy agent who approaches Kriti with the offer of a foreigner couple’s surrogacy. While the trailer begins lightheartedly, it quickly becomes uncomfortable when the couple asks Mimi to abort the kid. Mimi, according to the trailer, will have a strong emotional quotient.

The film appears to be a mash-up of various surrogacy scenarios we’ve seen before, but it’s set in Bikaner, and Kriti and Pankaj’s unique pairing makes it all the more intriguing.

Pankaj and Kriti have a blazing comic connection in the trailer, with some of their brilliant lines leaving you in splits. It also provides a fascinating look into the plot.

Sharing the trailer on social media, Kriti tweeted, “#Mimi expected everything, except for this unexpected journey! Watch the glimpse of her unexpected story with your family. #MimiTrailer out now: https://bit.ly/mimitrailer Releasing on 30th July on @JioCinema & @NetflixIndia. #NothingLikeWhatYoureExpecting.”
