The makers of the upcoming rescue thriller Mission Raniganj have released the first song from the film, titled Jalsa 2.0. The song features the lead pair Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in a festive mood, dancing to the beats of a Punjabi dhol.
About the Jalsa 2.0 song
Jalsa 2.0 is a remake of the popular Punjabi song Jalsa by Satinder Sartaaj, who has also sung and written the lyrics for the new version. The music has been composed by Prem and Hardeep, who have given a fresh twist to the original track. The song has been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, who has made Akshay and Parineeti perform some energetic bhangra moves.
The song showcases Akshay and Parineeti’s chemistry and charisma, as they groove to the catchy tune in a colourful setting. Akshay Kumar is seen in a turbaned avatar, wearing a dark blue kurta, while Parineeti Chopran is seen in a bright yellow salwar suit. The song also features some of the supporting cast members, such as Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma and others.

While sharing the song, Akshay wrote in his caption, “It’s time to celebrate! 🙌#GetReadyToJalsa Jalsa 2.0 video out now #MissionRaniganj in cinemas from 6th October.”

About Mission Raniganj
Mission Raniganj is based on the true story of Jaswant Singh Gill, an IIT Dhanbad mining engineer who rescued 65 miners trapped in the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989 in West Bengal. Akshay Kumar plays the role of Gill, while Parineeti Chopra plays his wife Nirdosh Gill. The film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor under their banners Pooja Entertainment and AK Productions.
The film’s poster was released on September 6, 2023, followed by the teaser on September 7, 2023. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 6, 2023.

Jackky Bhagnani, the founder of Jjust Music and the head of Pooja Entertainment, said that Jalsa 2.0 is a very special song for them, as it marks their entry into the world of Indian cinema with great enthusiasm.
