Earlier in August, Raja Krishna Menon announced his upcoming directorial Pippa.
The film is adapted from a book, The Burning Chaffees. Pippa is co-written by Ravinder Randhawa, Tanmay Mohan and Raja Krishna Menon.
Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur will be co-producing the film.
Raj roped in Ishaan Khatter to play the leading role and now the makers have announced the rest of the cast. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli in the lead roles.
Taking to his Instagram account, Ishaan Khatter wrote, “We’re coming with all guns blazing. Welcome to the #Pippa troop, fam 😉 @mrunalofficial2016 & @priyanshupainyuli @rajamenon #RonnieScrewvala #SiddharthRoyKapur @rsvpmovies @roykapurfilms.”

Talking about the film, Menon earlier said, “‘Pippa’ is a war film, but it also has an emotional core celebrating the triumph of love and humanity. The fact that there is going to be some never-seen-before tank war action is extremely thrilling to me as a filmmaker, but it’s the heroism and patriotism displayed by the young and strapping Brigadier Mehta, despite all that he was going through in his family, that really connected with me when Siddharth shared this story.”
Pippa is scheduled to hit theatres by the end of 2021.
