Mrunal Thakur Was Original Choice For Thugs Of Hindostan Instead Of Fatima Sana Sheikh But She Turned Down YRF For THIS Reason

Mrunal Thakur, who rose to fame with her role in the TV show Kumkum Bhagya, was the first choice for the female lead in Thugs of Hindostan. Aamir Khan, who was impressed by her performance in Love Sonia, offered her the role, but she turned it down because she was not ready to sign a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films at that moment. Fatima Sana Shaikh was eventually cast in the role.

Mrunal Thakur had also auditioned for the female lead in Sultan opposite Salman Khan, but that did not work out. She felt that signing a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films would affect her international career. However, she eventually made her Bollywood debut with Super 30 in 2019.

It is not uncommon for actors to turn down roles in movies due to various reasons, such as scheduling conflicts, creative differences, or personal reasons. In this case, Mrunal Thakur’s decision to turn down the role in Thugs of Hindostan was based on her career goals and priorities at that time.

On the work front, Mrunal was last seen in the film Gumraah with Aditya Roy Kapur. Even though it was appreciated by the critics, the film has been declared a flop due to its tragic box office results. She has a lineup of upcoming projects, including Pooja Meri Jaan, Pippa, and a pan-Indian film with Nani.
