Murder Mubarak: A Colorful Whodunit With Sara Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi To Release On March 15; Watch Teaser

Netflix has unveiled the teaser of its upcoming original film Murder Mubarak, a mystery comedy thriller directed by Homi Adajania and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film features an ensemble cast of Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra and Suhail Nayyar, who play a bunch of eccentric characters with hidden motives and secrets.

Murder Mubarak teaser introduces seven suspects in a whodunit

The teaser introduces the seven suspects in a murder case set in Delhi. They are Sara Ali Khan as a spoiled rich brat, Vijay Varma as a jilted lover, Dimple Kapadia as an artist, Karisma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor as a shady businessman, Tisca Chopra as a mysterious woman and Suhail Nayyar as a dubious character. Pankaj Tripathi plays a non-traditional cop who investigates the murder and tries to unravel the truth behind the lies.

The film is based on the novel by Anuja Chauhan, who has also co-written the screenplay along with Suprotim Sengupta and Gazal Dhaliwal. The film promises to be a binge-worthy, colorful and quirky whodunit with a dash of romance, comedy and suspense. The film also boasts of a catchy soundtrack composed by Sachin-Jigar and sung by Priya Saraiya.

Homi Adjania on Murder Mubarak

Expressing delight over the film, director Homi Adajania in an official statement shared, “Murder Mubarak is a cinematic concoction of actors that are loved across genres and generations and believe me each one of them has done such a fab job in bringing these eccentric characters to life.”

“This film has that binge-worthy magic which lends itself to a compulsive watch. It’s a colorful murder mystery that will make you want to rewind and watch it over again when you wonder how you missed all the clues in this breadcrumb-laden whodunit,” he further added while expressing gratitude towards their collaboration with Netflix.

The film marks the digital comeback of Karisma Kapoor, who said that she was excited to be a part of the film and that the word ‘comeback’ should be packed and parcelled away.

Murder Mubarak is set to release on Netflix on March 15, 2024. Sara Ali Khan, who shared the teaser on her Instagram account, wrote that the film has a lot of colorful characters who have come to wish the audience ‘Murder Mubarak’. Check out the teaser here:
