Naagin tales have always been a part of Bollywood. Now years after films like Nagina and Naagin, Bollywood will see yet another tale of revenge. According to the reports, director Vishal Furia is gearing up to narrate a story of an ‘icchadhari naagin’ with a three-film franchise. Vishal Furia directed the critically acclaimed 2017 Marathi film Lapachhapi.
As per the report, the said project is being produced by Nikhil Dwivedi. Reports also suggested that the makers have roped Shraddha Kapoor to play the 21st-century ‘icchadhari naagin’ in the supernatural-mythological franchise.
Confirming the same, Shraddha was quoted as saying, “It’s an absolute delight to play a ‘naagin’ on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring and idolising Sridevi ma’am in ‘Nagina’ and ‘Nigahen’ and always wanted to play a similar role that is rooted in Indian folklore.”
According to the reports, it will be a love story with heavy VFX and special effects. Nikhil aims to take the mythic-dramas even further and set different standers and he is designing the film on an international scale.
Meanwhile, Shraddha will be seen in Luv Ranjan’s next co-starring Ranbir Kapoor.
