Netflix has released the trailer for Nadaaniyan, a romantic drama featuring Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor. The film marks Ibrahim’s Bollywood debut and is directed by Shauna Gautam.

The story follows Pia Jai Singh (Khushi Kapoor), a wealthy South Delhi socialite who wants love to be perfect. Arjun Mehta (Ibrahim Ali Khan) is a hardworking middle-class student aiming to lead his school’s debate team.
Their lives take a turn when Pia asks Arjun to pretend to be her boyfriend. What starts as a simple deal soon becomes complicated as real emotions take over.

The film’s premise feels somewhat familiar. The idea of a ‘contract relationship’ leading to real love has been seen before. The trailer showcases a mix of romance and drama, but the storytelling gives off a television drama vibe rather than a fresh rom-com.
Ibrahim’s debut was expected to be the main highlight, but Khushi Kapoor seems to take the spotlight. Her performance shows some improvement after the failed film Loveyapa, but it still lacks the depth to carry the film.
However, actors like Dia Mirza and Suniel Shetty add strong performances that bring weight to the story.
