After winning the National Award for his performance in Pushpa: The Rise, actor Allu Arjun is back on the sets of the sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule, along with director Sukumar. The duo had taken a break from the shoot to attend the wedding of Varun Tej and Lavanya in Italy and to enjoy a vacation in Rome.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated pan-Indian films, as it is a continuation of the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, which released on December 17, 2022. The film revolves around the life of Pushpa Raj, a lorry driver who gets involved in the illegal red sanders smuggling business in the forests of Andhra Pradesh. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.
The team of Pushpa 2: The Rule resumed the shoot in Hyderabad on November 11, 2023, with the cast and crew following all the necessary Covid-19 protocols. The film is slated to release on August 15, 2024, on the occasion of Independence Day. The makers are planning to unveil some fresh glimpses of the film on the first anniversary of Pushpa: The Rise, i.e., December 17, 2023.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2: The Rule is expected to surpass the box office collections of Pushpa: The Rise, which crossed Rs 600 crore worldwide. The film’s songs and dialogues have already become popular among the fans, who are eagerly waiting to see Allu Arjun’s action-packed avatar as Pushpa Raj once again.
