Netflix’s Baahubali: Ribhu Dasgupta and Kunal Deshmukh roped in to direct the show

The project will go on the floors later this year.

Earlier it was reported that Netflix is going to make the OTT show of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film Baahubali.

Now according to the reports, the streaming giant had allocated a whopping amount of Rs. 200 cr to develop the show. The makers have also finalized two directors to develop the project. Kunal Deshmukh and Ribhu Dasgupta will be directing the much-awaited show.

“Praveen Sattaru and Deva Katta were initially directing the Baahubali – Before The Beginning show for Netflix. Though 30% was already shot, the streaming giant was not too happy with the result, and ordered a re-shoot. However, this time Netflix amped up the budget of the venture to Rs. 200 cr and to ensure that it was done in a fashion that they saw fit, new directors have been brought on board to take the project forward”, a source was quoted as saying.

The source also added, “Keeping Netflix’s vision for the show in mind, Bollywood directors Kunal Deshmukh and Ribhu Dasgupta have been roped in to helm the venture.”

As per the reports, the project will go on the floors later this year.
