Netizens troll Salman Khan for singing late Lata Mangeshkar’s iconic song ‘Lag Jaa Gale’; ‘plz mat gao’

Salman took to his Instagram handle and shared a video of himself, singing Lata Mangeshkar’s iconic song, “Lag Jaa Gale.”

On February 6, 2022, Lata Mangeshkar, the voice that captivated millions of hearts, passed away. She died of multiple organ failure at the age of 92 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. Her death was widely lamented around the world, with countless celebrities paying poignant condolences to the legendary singer. Salman Khan, the Bollywood superstar, paid an emotional tribute to the great singer on his social media accounts.

Salman took to his Instagram handle and shared a video of himself, singing Lata Mangeshkar’s iconic song, “Lag Jaa Gale.” Alongside the clip, he wrote, “Never has been, never will be any1 like u Lataji …” While many loved Salman’s heartwarming video, a certain section of people trolled him for his singing.

One netizen commented, “Plz mat gao,” another said, “’Sab dikhawa hai? isse gana nhi aise to humare gaon me gaye bakriyaan bolti h.” A third user reacted, ‘Gaana ga rha h, ya fir gadhe ki tarah reng rha hai.”

Meanwhile, Lag Jaa Gale is regarded as one of the most outstanding songs of its day. The soulful melody was composed by Madan Mohan and is from Raj Khosla’s 1964 mystery thriller.
