New Low: ‘Dhaakad’ Fans Target Taapsee Pannu For Low Collections Of Shabaash Mithu

'Shabaash Mithu' was a biopic of Raj who is known for her record-breaking 23-year-long career in international cricket and made 10,000 runs in ODI.

Taapsee Pannu-starrer Shabaash Mithu is based on the life of retired cricket icon Mithali Raj – faced a rough box-office performance at the box office. The film opened to low collections of 40 lacs nett and ended its lifetime run under 3.50 cr nett which was still better than Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad, another self-proclaimed female superstar of the country.

Shabaash Mithu’s box office failure led some people to compare it to Kangana Ranaut’s “Dhaakad.” Kangana Ranaut’s fans started calling out Taapsee’s film for its low collections and started targetting the actress. And they stoop low to point out its paltry 2nd Friday collections in thousands of Rupees.

Take a look at some of the harsh tweets by Dhaakad fans here:

Tweets were clearly fed by certain sections and were really in bad taste. To be fair, Dhaakad is far bigger disaster due to its massive budget of 70 cr plus and its fans have no rights to joke about Shaabash Mithu which is a disaster itself but have lost half of the money what Dhaakad lost.

‘Shabaash Mithu’ was a biopic of Raj who is known for her record-breaking 23-year-long career in international cricket and made 10,000 runs in ODI. The film was directed by Srijit Mukherji and written by Priya Aven.
