Netflix announces its highly anticipated 2025 content slate at the “Next On Netflix” event in Mumbai, promising a stellar line-up of Hindi originals. Despite a drop in streaming originals across OTT platforms in 2024, Netflix remained strong, premiering 21 Hindi titles, including 11 films, six web series, a documentary, two unscripted docu-series, and a talk show.

Jewel Thief
Netflix India has just revealed the first look of Jewel Thief, featuring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. The poster gives a glimpse of the intense action and promises an epic heist. The film’s tagline teases a thrilling adventure: “Two masterminds, one priceless diamond, and a heist spanning across the globe.”
Directed by Robbie Grewal, Jewel Thief marks the reunion of Saif Ali Khan with director Siddharth Anand after 17 years. Although Anand, known for his work on Pathaan, is producing the film, he isn’t directing this time.
The story is set up as a heist thriller franchise with Ahlawat playing the villain. Netflix plans to release the film during the Holi weekend, and fans are eagerly waiting to watch the heist unfold on screen.
Rana Naidu S2
Next, the streaming giant confirms the return of Rana Naidu with Season 2. The announcement post revealed that the highly anticipated season will drop in 2025. Sharingt the teaser, Netflix wrote, “Ab hogi todfod ki shuruvaat mamu, kyun ki ye Rana Naidu ka style hai.”
To make the news even bigger, Arjun Rampal is joining Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh in this new season. The first season stunned Telugu viewers as Venkatesh stepped away from his typical ‘family man’ roles, and Season 2 is set to crank up the drama and intensity even more!
Rajkummar Rao’s Toaster
Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra are set to deliver a heartwarming and hilarious comedy in Toaster. The teaser shows Rajkummar’s character navigating life with a toaster he gave as a wedding gift. Netflix describes the film as a wild ride filled with mayhem, mishaps, and marriage, all revolving around this quirky gift.
Delhi Crime Season 3

Set in the tough streets of early 2000s Bengal, the show follows IPS officer Arjun Maitra, who steps up to fight corruption after the death of a senior cop. With gangsters and politicians ruling the city, Arjun fights to restore order.
Sharing the teaser, Netflix wrote, “Kolkata ke sabse khatarnaak gangsters ka hoga sabse shaatir police se saamna.”
The Royals
The Royals series has been announced with a teaser featuring Bhumi Pednekar and Ishaan Khatter. Set in Rajasthan, this rom-com blends the world of a polo-playing prince and a CEO, mixing aristocracy with modern-day business.
The cast also includes Zeenat Aman, Chunky Panday, Sakshi Tanwar, Dino Morea, and Milind Soman. Sharing the teaser, Netflix wrote, “Maharajas couture dresses and a rom-com with @ishaankhatter and @bhumipednekar is on its way.”
Test
Test is an upcoming sports-based Tamil film directed by S Sashikanth. The film stars R. Madhavan, Siddharth, Nayanthara, and Meera Jasmine. It marks Sashikanth’s directorial debut and Meera Jasmine’s return to Tamil cinema after 10 years. Netflix shared the teaser, calling it a “test of life” featuring an exciting cast.
