Since 2019 there has been no update on Nitish Tiwari’s Ramayana. It was earlier reported that the film may be on hold because Om Raut’s Adipurush also stars the Telugu-Hindi star cast comprising Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan.
Now according to a report, Tiwari’s film is happening and being backed by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra. As per the report, the film may go on the floor next year.
According to the reports, Tiwari pitched his three-part Ramayana series to superstars Hrithik Roshan and Mahesh Babu. Babu has been offered Lord Rama’s role while Hrithik was supposed to play Ravana. While both the stars have believed to shown interest in this magnum opus. However, they have not given their node to it. They are apparently waiting for the full narration and a proper deal before coming on board.
As per the reports, Babu is shortly doing Telugu director S. S. Rajamouli’s next big film and may not be able to commit to Tiwari.
