After exploring action and drama, Arjun Kapoor is now eager to dive deeper into comedy. He will soon reunite with director Anees Bazmee for No Entry 2, following their 2017 film Mubarakan.
Arjun Kapoor Wishes To Do More Comedy Films In Future
Talking about his excitement for the upcoming sequel, Arjun said, “Comedy is a genre that we all enjoy as an audience watching in theatres. Agar aap logon ko hansa sake, issey achi koi feeling hoti nahi.”
He shared that working with Bazmee in Mubarakan was a great experience, and he is thrilled for another collaboration. He also expressed his desire to do more comedy films in the future.
No Entry 2 Will Bring An All-New Cast
The much-awaited No Entry 2 will see Arjun alongside Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. The original 2005 film, starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, was a massive hit.
Its hilarious plot about three married men hiding their extramarital affairs made it a cult favourite. Now, with a fresh cast, the sequel promises to bring a new wave of madness.
Arjun Kapoor On Mere Husband Ki Biwi
Apart from No Entry 2, Arjun will also showcase his comic side in Mere Husband Ki Biwi. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film stars Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh.
Talking about the title, Arjun said, “It is a very unique title. When I heard the script, the title was the first thing that caught my attention, as I thought it was very interesting. When you watch the film, the title will seem appropriate from both the girls’ point of view as one is the ex, and the other is the future.”
Rakul also shared a fun behind-the-scenes moment. She revealed how dedicated co-star Harsh Gujral was in perfecting the hook step of Ikk Vaari.
She shared, “The hook step of the song was a little bit complicated, and it was not simple. So, while we all three were rehearsing, he was standing in the corner and looking at us and recording it. The entire night, he practised it inside his room, and the next day, when we started the shoot, he did it perfectly. I have not seen such dedication and fire.”
Actor Also Dreams To Star In A Period Film
While excited about comedy, Arjun also dreams of doing a larger-than-life period drama. “Recently, I saw the trailer of Chhaava, and definitely, I would love to do such an epic, period, and larger-than-life drama and use my physicality for such films,” he said.
Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh, Mere Husband Ki Biwi will hit cinemas on February 21.
