Ranbir Kapoor and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali have put all speculation to rest. Reports confirm that there is no discord between the actor and filmmaker during the production of Love And War. The film is on track and set for an August 2026 release.
Speculation had circulated regarding potential creative disagreements and production holdups. However, a recent update confirms that all is well and proceeding as planned.
Rumours Of Creative Differences Dismissed
There were reports that Bhansali had requested reshoots for specific scenes, which allegedly caused frustration for Ranbir. Some online discussions hinted at possible tensions during filming. However, sources have now clarified that there has been no fallout between the star and the director.
The crew is currently enjoying a scheduled break at the end of the year. This break was reportedly arranged months in advance and is not a sign of any production issues.
Filming To Resume This Month
Love And War will resume filming later this month and continue through March. The upcoming schedule will focus on patchwork and visual effects since it is a period piece, along with select scenes and musical segments.
Bhansali is also prioritizing post-production work concurrently. Ranbir, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal are all aware of the rigorous shooting demands and are completely dedicated to the project.
Cast Committed To Extended Schedules
Sources have confirmed that none of the lead actors have any issues with the extended schedules. Bhansali’s films are known for their grand scale, so any halt is quickly perceived as a setback. However, this is simply the nature of working on such ambitious projects.
The film brings together the power couple Alia and Ranbir once again after Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra: Part One Shiva.
Star Cast Has Busy Year Ahead
All three lead actors have packed schedules ahead. Alia Bhatt is set to appear in Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe film Alpha later this year. Ranbir has Animal Park and Ramayana lined up. Vicky Kaushal will feature in Mahavatar and Rajkumar Hirani’s forthcoming project.
This will be Vicky’s first project with SLB, while it marks Ranbir’s second collaboration following his debut in Saawariya.
