After spending a relaxed holiday with the family Varun Dhawan is set to roll for his upcoming films. According to the information the actor will have four back-to-back shoots, with films belonging to different genres.
According to the reports Varun is set to start with comedy-drama tentatively titled Jug Jug Jiyo directed by Raj Mehta. The film also stars Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Singh, the shooting will start from Mid-November. “The film is tentatively titled Jug Jug Jiyo and is a dramedy that revolves around the lives of two couples of different generations, played by Varun and Kiara, Anil and Neetu. The situational comedy, spun around a North Indian family promises to be a riot, with the older couple’s strained relationship bringing lots of laughs,” a source was quoted by a daily as saying. The film will have a marathon schedule and the locations include Chandigarh and Mumbai.
After this Varun will start the year 2021 with director Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy, titled Bhediya. Repots says the film also stars Shraddha Kapoor is his leading lady. “It’s diametrically opposite to what Amar did in Stree. This one is more like a dark monster comedy. The shoot will commence early next year in Mumbai. Not just Varun, but even his filmmaker father, David Dhawan, loves the subject,” the source adds.
Later that the actor will move to Sajid Nadiadwala’s action film Sanki. The film is said to represent Varun as the larger than a life action hero.
Finally, then the actor will go for Arun Kheterpal biopic which will be helmed by Badlapur and Andhadhun director Sriram Raghavan. The film was earlier scheduled to go in the floor in May this year but thanks to the pandemic it moved further.
