Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken nature, recently shared her thoughts on the massive success of the films ‘Jawan’ and ‘Gadar 2’.
The films ‘Jawan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, and ‘Gadar 2’, featuring Sunny Deol, have become all-time blockbusters with their thunderous performance at the box office. These films have not only revived the show business in Bollywood but also marked a significant change in the industry.
North And South Have Come Together; Says Kangana
Kangana believes that as an industry, they have come together. Speaking to Times Now about the same, she said that the divide between North and South has been diminishing and the industry has certainly done some rethinking. She stated, “People like Sunny Deol were not in the race for too long, we need them”.
Kangana Called Shah Rukh Khan A Cinema-God
A few days ago, Kangana Ranaut had praised Shah Rukh Khan for his transformation into a mass superhero with ‘Jawan’ and called him the cinema god for not just hugs and dimples but also for world-saving. She had also said that SRK has emerged stronger out of his rough patch where his past few films didn’t work at the box office.
Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote, “From being the ultimate lover boy of the nineties to a decade long struggle again to reinvent his connection with his audience in his late forties to mid fifties and ultimately rising as the quintessential Indian mass super hero at the age of 60 (almost) is nothing short of super heroic even in real life. I remember the time when people wrote him off and mocked his choices but his struggle is a master class for all those artists who enjoying long careers but must reinvent and reestablish. SRK is the cinema God that India needs not just for hugs or dimples but for some serious world saving as well. Bowing down to your perseverance, hard work and humility King Khan.”
Film Industry Revives Back
Except ‘Jawan’, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Gadar 2’ that have set new box office records, other films like ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’, ‘OMG 2’, ‘Dream Girl 2’ and ‘SatyaPrem Ki Katha’ have also performed well at the box office. Meanwhile, ‘Jawan’ is set to become highest-grossing film ever, now chasing another Shah Rukh Khan starrer, ‘Pathaan’.
