Ali Zaffar, prominent Pakistani singer-actor, is well-known for playing lead roles in Tere Bin Laden, Kill Dill, Chashme Buddoor and others.
His cameo was in Dear Zindagi starring Alia Bhatt-Shah Rukh Khan. He termed his Kill Dill co-star Ranveer Singh as ‘super fun’ and ‘bundle of joy’.
“He is such a larger-than-life personality. All my life, I have had three heroes, who I looked up to — Christopher Reeves, Imran Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. So when I met him, it was like living my childhood romance. Also, a lot of times, you expect your heroes to be a certain way and that image breaks when you meet them. But with him, the strata only became bigger,” said Zaffar while speaking to Connect FM. He added that he met ‘Bachchan saab’ where he was greeted with love and hugs.
On Arijit Singh, he said, “He is a Sufi soul, and I must laud his bravery of standing up on the stage and talking about love and humanity.” When asked about Shehnaaz Gill, he said if she is interested, then he would collaborate with Gill on one of his songs.
