His next directorial, Oh My Dog, has been described as a kids’ slice-of-life film, and if the grapevine is accurate, Oh My God 2’s Pankaj Tripathi is expected to make a cameo.

A source directly involved with the project informed that the film is 90% complete and currently in post-production. While the official cast has yet to be released, the source also mentioned that Tripathi would have a short, yet worthwhile, appearance. Tripathi’s involvement brings credibility, character, and emotional context, aside from the versatility he brings to every previous film.
Tripathi, who was last seen in Criminal Justice: A Family Matter on Jio Hotstar, continues to mesmerise audiences, although only three episodes have aired so far. Jio Hotstar has promised viewers a new episode every Thursday, but Tripathi’s appearance in Oh My Dog would add a beautiful emotion to his seamless performances.
OMG 3 In Development, Source Shares
Fans of the Oh My God series have more reason to rejoice. Insiders reveal that Amit Rai and Akshay Kumar are talking about Oh My God 3. The two thought up multiple plots for the film while on a recent work retreat.
“The aim is to take the third part on floors by 2026,” a source revealed.
If that’s the case, the series could be back with its characteristic satire, social commentary, and star power.
Akshay Kumar’s Busy Slate
In the meantime, Akshay Kumar’s slate is anything but empty. As Amit Rai continues to develop OMG 3, Akshay is gearing up for Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani. The film will release on June 6 and has a whopping cast of 19 actors and a unique dual-climax model (Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B).
