The buzz around Bhagam Bhag 2 has been steadily building ever since the sequel to the 2006 comedy was confirmed, and now there is a fresh update that makes the project even more intriguing. Paresh Rawal, who remains one of Hindi cinema’s most reliable crowd pleasers, is officially set to bring a double dose of madness to the franchise. With Akshay Kumar and Manoj Bajpayee fronting the cast, the upcoming film is shaping up to be a major theatrical comedy event.
Paresh Rawal Double Role Confirmed In Bhagam Bhag 2
In an official confirmation, Paresh Rawal revealed that he will indeed be seen in a double role in Bhagam Bhag 2. When asked directly about the dual part, the veteran actor responded, “Yes, I do.” Sharing his excitement for what lies ahead, he added, “I am excited. Maza aayega. Dhamaal hoga!”
The confirmation instantly adds a new layer of anticipation to the sequel, especially given Rawal’s reputation for elevating slapstick setups with precision timing and character driven humor.
From Andaz Apna Apna To Triple Roles: Rawal’s Comic Legacy
This is not the first time Paresh Rawal has taken on multiple characters in one film. His double act in Andaz Apna Apna is still widely celebrated, where he played the contrasting Ram Gopal Bajaj and Shyam Gopal Bajaj aka Teja. He went a step further in Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, appearing in three different roles.
Over the years, Rawal has also featured in double roles in films like Platform, Janam Kundli and Chor Machaye Shor, making him a natural fit for a narrative that thrives on confusion, mistaken identity and comic chaos.
Cast, Director And What We Know So Far
Bhagam Bhag 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Paresh Rawal, with Meenakshi Chaudhary also on board. The film is also a notable milestone for Meenakshi as it marks her Hindi theatrical debut, following her earlier Hindi outing Upstarts, which released on Netflix.
While the original Bhagam Bhag was directed by Priyadarshan, the sequel will be helmed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, best known for Dream Girl. With a new director steering the franchise and a cast anchored by proven comic performers, expectations are naturally high.
Looking ahead, Rawal’s comedy lineup remains packed as he is set to appear in Bhooth Bangla on April 10, 2026, followed by Welcome To The Jungle on June 26, 2026. The year 2027 is slated to bring Bhagam Bhag 2 and Hera Pheri 3, both also starring Akshay Kumar.
