Pathaan, the latest release starring Shah Rukh Khan, is continuing to perform well at the box office even in its fifth week. The film has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences, with many praising the performances of Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the pivotal roles.
Deepika Padukone plays the role of a spy in the Siddharth Anand directed film. Her character has received much appreciation from fans, who are now demanding a women-led spy movie in the YRF universe. Fans want the film to feature the characters Rubai and Zoya, who are played by Katrina Kaif in the popular Tiger franchise.
Pathaan’s writer, Sridhar Raghavan, has acknowledged the fans’ demand for a women-led spy movie and has stated that there is a possibility of such a film being made with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif as the leads. While nothing has been confirmed yet, fans are excited about the prospect of seeing two of Bollywood’s biggest actresses share the screen in a spy thriller.
During an Interview with News18, Raghavan said, “There’s a vacuum of those kinds of stories (women-led spy films) here. I’m pretty sure we’ll be filling that up. So, yes, there’s definitely a plan to make a spy film with the women.”
Sridhar, who has also written the screenplay earlier for Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War (2019), added, “There’s no limitation here and we don’t just plan on working with Hrithik, Shah Rukh sir, and Salman sir. There are two other crucial characters in the universe Rubai and Zoya.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ is chasing the last record in its run of 511 cr nett of ‘Baahubali 2’ Hindi after a massive blockbuster run. Film has crossed 509.15 cr nett on 35 days of run.
