Peddi Release Shifted To June, Ram Charan Film Makers Confirm Delay With Special Note

Just when Peddi seemed to be building unstoppable release momentum, the makers hit pause and turned that excitement into a bigger statement. Ram Charan’s much-watched film has officially been shifted to June, with the team announcing that extra time is being allotted to post-production so the theatrical experience lands exactly the way they want it to.

That choice immediately stands out because Peddi is not operating in a quiet corner of the release calendar. It is one of the most closely followed Telugu films of 2026, carrying strong fan anticipation and industry attention in equal measure. By choosing refinement over rush, the makers have made it clear that they are treating the film’s finish as seriously as its build-up.

Choosing Polish Over Speed

In their note shared on social media, the team wrote, “We want to give our audience nothing but the best. #PEDDI in cinemas this June.” With that message, the makers confirmed the postponement and the new release window, while also making their intent unmistakable.

The reason behind the move was stated directly. A crucial portion of work remains, and the team wants additional time for technicians and post-production to complete the film to the desired standard. For a large-scale theatrical film, that final stretch can shape everything from visual impact to tonal consistency, which makes this delay feel less like a setback and more like a strategic hold.

That strategy also fits the way Peddi has been sold so far, through carefully timed reveals that have steadily pulled audiences deeper into its world.

Why Peddi Still Holds Strong Pre-Release Heat

The film’s promotional material has kept attention locked on the project. The first teaser drew a strong response online by presenting Ram Charan in a strikingly different avatar, while the songs Chikiri Chikiri and Rai Rai Raa Raa helped sustain the film’s visibility. Instead of overloading the campaign, the makers have relied on sharply designed content drops, each one adding to the film’s identity and scale.

Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan in the title role alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, and Divyendu Sharma. The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers. Based on the material released so far, the film is positioned as an intense commercial drama with a rooted backdrop and a physically demanding central part for Charan.

For now, the latest announcement does something important for the film’s campaign. It turns a scheduling change into a confidence signal. Instead of chasing a date, the team has chosen to underline that Peddi is being readied as a full-scale theatrical event, and that decision only sharpens curiosity around its final arrival.
