Rani Mukerji is all set to hit the theatres with another instalment of her blockbuster film Mardaani. The trailer is breathtaking and highly appreciated by the critics. The film is an action thriller that will show Rani as a cop who will run race against time to capture a serial rapist.
Mardaani 2 focuses on the violence and crimes against juveniles in India.
The trailer which released a couple of days back. It shows a man creating chaos by raping and murdering female students in Kota.
As soon as the trailer released locals of Rajasthan alleged that the film showcases the city and IIT tuitions in a bad light.
Following the concern now the makers of Mardaani 2 have decided to tweak the trailer. And remove the reference of Kota.
Director Gopi Puthran said since the trailer mentions that it is a true event and based in Kota, it will open doors for miscommunication.
Yash Raj Films has also decided to remove the true events claim from the film. This will stop further misinterpretation.
We will see Rani serving the role of the fearless and committed Superintendent of Police, Shivani Shivaji Roy in the film.
The film is produced by Aditya Chopra, this is Rani’s next release after Hichki.
Mardaani 2 is set to go on theatres on 13th December.
