Prabhas’ intense Fauzi first-look poster teases the actor in a fierce military drama ahead of Kalki 2’s final stretch

Prabhas is staring at a high-stakes scheduling crossover, with Fauzi and Kalki 2 both demanding his time just as their production timelines tighten. The immediate priority is clear: finish Fauzi by December 2026, then move into the next major stretch of Nag Ashwin’s ambitious sequel.

The urgency around that calendar shuffle has grown after Fauzi was officially locked for a March 19, 2027 theatrical release. That date gives the period drama little breathing room, which is why the film now sits at the top of Prabhas’s work slate even as Kalki 2 gathers momentum. For an actor already steering multiple tentpole projects, the next few months could shape how both films stay on track.

Fauzi Takes Priority In Prabhas’s Calendar

Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is now set to arrive in cinemas on March 19, 2027, after moving away from its earlier December 2026 release plan. The film, which also features Imanvi and Anupam Kher, has entered a crucial stretch because its production now has to move in step with that confirmed release timeline.

With a fixed release date in place, the film has become Prabhas’s immediate focus. The current plan is for the actor to complete the period drama by December 2026, allowing the team enough time for the work that follows before release.

That target also helps streamline Prabhas’s packed calendar. Rather than dividing extensive blocks between two massive productions for too long, wrapping Fauzi on time would let him move cleanly into the heavier demands of Kalki 2.

Kalki 2 Eyes Its Bigger Shoot Phase

Prabhas has already resumed work on Kalki 2, which reunites him with director Nag Ashwin after Kalki 2898 AD. The sequel also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, making scheduling a complex exercise given the scale of the cast and the demands of a large science-fiction production.

The film is aiming to wrap by March 31, 2027, a deadline that carries added pressure because of its extensive visual effects pipeline. On a project of this size, post-production is not a brief final step but a massive undertaking of its own, which makes shooting schedules especially important.

That is where Fauzi becomes central to the larger equation. Once Prabhas completes the Hanu Raghavapudi film, Kalki 2 can move into its more intensive shoot phase with far greater clarity.

Prabhas’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Prabhas was last seen in The Raja Saab, which released in 2026 and added a different tonal note to his recent run. Before that, he led Kalki 2898 AD in 2024 alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, after delivering the action-heavy Salaar: Part 1, Ceasefire in 2023.

That recent stretch shows how firmly he has stayed in the big-screen event zone, moving between dystopian spectacle, action drama, and genre experimentation. His confirmed upcoming line-up continues that scale, with Fauzi next in line before Spirit adds another major collaboration to his slate.

For now, though, the real turning point is simple. If Fauzi finishes by December, it opens the runway for Kalki 2 to enter its most demanding production phase with momentum on its side.
