Prabhas Shoots An Action Sequence With Prashanth Neel For Salaar In Italy At The Exact Location Of James Bond Film ‘No Time To Die’

Prabhas, the Indian superstar known for his role in the blockbuster Baahubali franchise, is currently filming his upcoming movie Salaar in Italy. According to Bollywood Hungama source, the actor will be playing a dual role in the highly anticipated film, which is being written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films company.

The filming of Salaar began in mid-March in Matera, an old southern Italian town famous for its prehistoric whitewashed caves. The production has since moved to Naples, where preparations for filming in the city’s central Piazza del Plebiscito plaza are currently underway. Local police are assisting with the set preparations, which include the use of drones and lighting for night shooting.

Aside from Matera and Naples, the film’s other locations include Rome and Budapest. While plot details remain scarce, Salaar is said to be a thriller with a love undercurrent, focusing on two young people from different nations who fall in love despite the distance and cultural differences, and overcome numerous challenges.

The movie is being mounted on a huge scale and has been budgeted at over 400 crores (approximately $54 million USD). The dynamic team and technicians of KGF, another blockbuster franchise from the same production company, are also working on Salaar. The film is set to be released internationally on September 23 in Telugu and dubbed in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and English, with its Indian release scheduled for September 28, 2023.
